Experience an inspiring evening of ocean conservation and connection at the 19th Annual Bahamas International Film Festival! BREEF and BIFF invite you to a special Happy Hour and film screening event featuring Ocean’s Rose, a documentary celebrating the life and achievements of the world-renowned diver and “shark whisperer,” Ben Rose. Enjoy an evening of mingling with filmmakers and festival guests, all while supporting the vital work of BREEF in marine conservation.

Ocean’s Rose:

Ocean’s Rose, directed by Madeline Grace Kennedy, is a 29-minute short documentary about the world’s first shark whisperer, Ben Rose. Through his story, the film emphasizes the need for a deeper human connection with nature and advocates for marine conservation. Co-starring Cristina Zenato, this film is a must-see for ocean lovers of all ages.

As one of BIFF’s spotlight charities, BREEF plays a crucial role in marine ecosystem conservation and education in The Bahamas and beyond. Join us for this special event, including a mix-and-mingle Happy Hour hosted by John Watling’s Distillery, followed by a screening of Ocean’s Rose, which highlights Ben Rose’s message on the importance of human connection with nature and the need to protect it.
